25 Things Before 25: Number 15 Visit Museums

Go to 25 different museums!

History Nerd

Have I mentioned that I am super into history? Maybe it’s because we would watch the history channel all the time growing up. Or, maybe it’s just because I find it so fascinating. Nonetheless, I have been to a ton of history museums in my life; from the Judy Garland Museum of Grand Rapids, MN to the Holocaust Museum of L.A. That being said, I am missing–as I had mentioned in Number 1–all of the wonderful museums in the eastern United States. I can’t wait to stop in at some of the most amazing museums as I travel throughout the U.S.

Getty-ing into Art

I have been to the Getty in Los Angeles, but I haven’t been to many other art museums. I am hoping to broaden my horizons and throw a few art museums into the mix of 25 museums that I will see over the next year. After all, art is history! I really look forward to going to the MET in New York City and the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. this year! AND, I could probably make it to the Minneapolis Institute of Art while I am there in January!

Can’t wait to have more adventures and continue learning! I’ll look forward to posting about the museums I get to see!

XO,

Sonja Hoff

It’s a great way to learn because it is more of witnessing a story rather than hearing a lecture in class!

  5. Local museums are such a great way to learn about the area you are visiting. I recently visited the Dr. Pepper museum in Waco and learned so much.
